AND NEVER OR

by Duncan Fisher

Inspired by the sensibilities and sounds of hiphop, Cope is an uncompromosing odyssey of pain and survival.

Written by Regina actor/musician Greg Ochitwa, this musical production follows three young adults and their battles with disease, drugs, abuse, and love. Ochitwa’s bracing narrative explores a provocative idea: that our humanity is revealed most, not in the ways we thrive, but in the ways we cope.

He is a master of dungeons, a unter of witches, a killer of vampires. He evours human flesh. He is the walking dead. Fortunately for all of us he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Regina actor Lee Boyes takes the stage with his true-to-life story of an overworked, underpaid Canadian, playing a Scotsman, playing dead people, while working for a tourist trap in the bowels of Edinburgh. Lee’s experiences with tourists of all stripes often left him unsure whether to laugh or cry. We’re betting you’ll choose the first option.

And Never Or is a fable of faith, a parable of possibilities. Inspired by actor/writer Duncan Fisher’s profound encounter with the ringing bells of a local downtown church, this story describes the companionship and conflict between And and Or, two beings who have only each other and their expectations for a better world. That world, a place of meditation and hope, is irrevocably changed by the arrival of a long-awaited prophet -- and the birth of a third being who will forever upset the balance between And and Or.
